The Detroit Tigers have signed Zach Segovia to a minor league deal. Segovia pitched in 45 games (0 starts) in AAA-ball for the Brewers last year and he was 5-4 with 2 saves, a 5.56 ERA and a 1.71 WHIP. He last pitched in the majors in 2009 with the Washington Nationals. He has pitched in 9 games (1 start) in his first two years in the majors and he is 1-1 with a 8.22 ERA and a 1.70 WHIP. Segovia is going to be a longshot this spring to make the Tigers’ bullpen.
